"A Sixth Sense about the Place You Live In"

"Domesticity does not take time or effort but helps save both. It is just an orientation that gives you a sixth sense about the place you live in, and helps you keep it running with the same kind of unconscious and effortless actions that keep you from falling when you walk down stairs. This sixth sense lets you do things fast and cut the right corners . . . ."

I bought this book years ago in a junk store and have sporadically read bit and pieces. I think just seeing this quote will push me to really read the book, now as a start to the year.

thank you for sharing here.

So true!

This is one of my favorite books; I love the wisdom peppered in with the pragmatic pieces of information (when to tune the piano...how to properly iron...kitchen cleanliness...)

I must have missed out!! I do want to be more conscious of my home and the comfort of; for me, my husband, and my husband. Also, just so it is more peaceful and less chaotic.
Thanks for the post.
