Just gorgeous. Very modern but very retro.

That's the Sweetest Dress - so feminine and flattering - and great colors for Spring : ) I love shirtwaist dresses!!!

I'm making a skirt (using your circle skirt instructions!) out of that fabric for my daughter. Your daughter's dress looks great!

Oh love it! Gorgeous! I have a dress like this and my friend is going to help me find a pattern so I can make one for everyday of the week. I wear it all day as my house wife dress but it is a green one. This pattern is FAB!

Lovely (both Clara and the dress).

Clara I read this in the newspaper (true story) the other week and have been saving it for you: a Sydney family has two dogs and a cat, their names are Bach, Offenbach and Debussy.

I just linked to this post today in a post I did about polka dots ~ thanks for sharing your creative talents!

Okay, I absolutely love that!! The polka dots go so well with the dress style, and it's a little bit of "modern meets vintage". Too cute, and it looks really great on her.

I love your blog!

I've tried to make this dress too but am having trouble with fitting the pattern. Did you perhaps eliminate a dart when you made the dress for Clara?

Anna said...

I used the pattern as is--if I recall it has a side bust dart and a vertical waist dart, right? Without knowing your fitting problem I can't advise, but I do know we didn't fit the dress very closely, using the tie belt to take up the extra ease.
