Bella's Beaded Skirt

Here is the finished skirt I started for Bella, inspired by Natalie Chanin's work. The printed jersey needed a *lot* of beading in order for the sparkle to show, but that was okay with me because it turns out I love beading! I beaded only the front center panel, thickest at the bottom and tapering up about eight inches. And do they make it swing? Yes.

So very pretty!
I would imagine knowing when to stop adding beads...that is the trick!

Thanks for showing it!

I dumped out my buttons last night, looking for one, and I all of a sudden thought what I could do with all those tiny bright plastic ones - "bead" the hem of my daughter's skirt! You've inspired me, Anna.

It looks really pretty! What a great idea to bead on knits. I'd love to see what the whole skirt looks like....does the beading make it trickier to wash?
