So Much Beading

Here's a little progress report on my current jersey embellishment. As you see, I am going to town with beads, having finished the reverse-applique step.

That's lovely! Do you knot every so often to prevent loosing the beads, or handwash to prevent that problem? So often I see pretty garments in our thrifting adventure whose only fault is a few missing beads ...

Is this the ballgown? (the one I think you should make?)

Lisa, it's just a skirt. However, I was thinking about that ticking ballgown just last night! One of these days . . .

Heather, I don't do anything special to secure the beads, I just make sure I have a darn good knot at each end. My beaded garments have held up really well in the laundry--I turn them inside out and wash on delicate, usually in a bag.

Yes, that ticking ballgown - Clara had a good idea with that one. I hope you'll be able to make it.
